Biographical Info:

After immigrating to America in 1985 with nothing, my family built a life through hard work and assimilation. My single mother started by cleaning houses, learned English, saved money and opened a thriving spa and salon business.

Following college with a business degree, I managed the family business and began consulting for other business in the same industry on business improvement and customer service. I also coached high school varsity soccer to give back to the community.

When I started my own family, I chose to be a present father, the kind of Dad I didn’t have growing up. This led me to a role as Vice President of Sales and Technical Training with a Canadian product manufacturer for the past 21 years. This allowed me to work mostly from home with some travel domestically and internationally.

I have put my professional carrier on pause for this campaign. I want the residents to know that I am taking this very seriously.

My story reflects the power of divine intervention, family resilience, education, entrepreneurship, and the opportunities America provides.

Statement:

I’m running for Mesa City Council District 5 because Northeast Mesa is a gem and deserves better.

For three years, a grassroots group of us has closely followed City Council and City Hall. We’ve seen some good decisions—and some deeply concerning ones still heading our way.
I believe in results. When other cities prove a policy works, we should adopt it. When a policy fails, we should reject it. That’s common sense.

Too often, our elected representatives defend City Hall against the residents they’re supposed to represent. That’s backwards. City Council sets policy. The City Manager and staff implement it. Not the other way around.
My family escaped communist Yugoslavia. I learned firsthand the real cost of bad government. I’m applying those lessons here in Mesa: demanding accountability for our tax dollars, protecting our neighborhoods from unbalanced development, finding real solutions for Falcon Field that work for both the airport and nearby residents, addressing homelessness, and keeping Mesa business-friendly while preserving what makes our community special.

From protecting our culture, fixing traffic, supporting our police, keeping taxes in check, and holding down the cost of living, I will put residents first.
