The daughter of a teacher and a nurse, Kari Lake grew up in Iowa alongside her eight siblings where she learned the value of a hard day’s work. Fascinated with people’s stories, Kari pursued a career in the news industry where she would become a symbol of truth in journalism when she rejected the agenda-driven press and walked away from the mainstream media after a highly successful 27 years.

Statement:

In 2022, Kari ran for Governor of Arizona with the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump on a platform of putting Arizona First. Kari believes in secure borders, energy independence, safe streets, education not indoctrination, pushing back against the radical Biden agenda, and preserving the western heritage that makes Arizona special. Kari Lake is a voice for the silent majority and fights back against the relentless assault on our freedoms by the radical left. She believes Arizona can and should be the standard bearer for America First policies nationwide.

2. Amending the Arizona State Constitution to grant a fundamental right to every individual to an abortion. O* We have an obligation to pursue pro-family policies in Washington and focus on reducing the demand for abortion in Arizona and across the country. Hungary instituted a range of pro-family and pro-motherhood support that has reduced abortions in their country by 50% without changing the law. We can do the same.
3. Appointing federal judges who will interpret the U.S. Constitution according to the framers’ original intent or text, rather than by evolving standards. S* Activist judges are tearing this country apart and breaking down the rule of law. It is critical that we support originalist judges who understand the importance of the even-handed application of justice.
4. Adding "sexual orientation," "gender identity," and "gender expression" to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law. O* Expanding the definition of protected classes is leading to unrestricted lawfare by the left, and must be opposed.
5. Allowing all parents to use tax credits and taxpayer funded empowerment scholarship accounts to enable their children to attend any private school, homeschool, or online academy of their choice. S* Parental choice is improving outcomes for students, no student should be stuck in a failing school.
6. Amending the U.S. Constitution to require Congress to balance the federal budget every year. S* Our budget deficit is the single greatest threat facing our nation, strong action is needed now.
7. Using taxpayer funds to support any organization that performs, promotes, or provides referrals for abortion. O* Not a single taxpayer dime should ever be used to fund abortions. Our focus and our dollars should be used to support mothers and young families, not abortion.
8. Interpreting the 2nd Amendment as protecting an individual’s right to keep and bear arms. S* Shall not be infringed
9. Allowing individuals and businesses to not provide services or promote ideas that violate their moral or religious beliefs. S* Service providers and store owners should never be required to violate their conscience or religious values to remain in business.
10. Federalizing election law by removing state authority over elections. O* Federal attempts to takeover state elections duties are a direct infringement of the Article 1, Section 4 rights of the states to determine the time, place, and manner of elections guaranteed by the Constitution. I will not stand for it.
11. Eliminating the filibuster rule requiring 60 votes in the U.S. Senate to move most legislation. O* Maintaining and, where necessary, returning to regular order in the Senate are essential for the long-term health of our Republic.
12. Regulating or banning social media platforms that are owned or controlled by certain foreign governments. −* Neither support or oppose. Social media should not be a platform for hostile foreign governments to indoctrinate American children, but we have to be careful not to create precedents that allow the growing government censorship complex to use them to target free speech of U.S. based platforms like Twitter.
