Biographical Info:

Sandra Christensen is a Christian conservative, community leader, and current Governing Board Member for the Paradise Valley Unified School District, the largest school district in Legislative District 4. She is a candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in LD4 and is committed to defending faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility.
Sandra brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in business, technology, and public service. She began her Arizona career in 1994 as a Systems Analyst and IT Project Manager at Honeywell Aerospace. She later served in leadership roles at Catholic Healthcare West and Perot Systems, completed graduate studies in veterinary medicine at UC Davis, and managed operations at Alta Vista Veterinary Hospital.
As Constituent Services Manager and Ombudsman at the Arizona Department of Education, Sandra served Arizona families by helping them navigate difficult systems and by working directly with the Attorney General’s Office, legislators, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Governor’s Office to deliver results. She also assisted ESA families when overflow calls came into her office, because she believes parents — not government bureaucrats — should have the final say in their children’s education.
Sandra’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional life. She and her husband, Coy, have served as foster parents, opening their home to children in need. She has mentored at-risk teens at the Phoenix Dream Center, volunteered in equine therapy programs for children with special needs at Reigning Grace Ranch, and remained active in church service and PV Schools initiatives since moving to the PV school district in 2015.
Married to Coy since 1997, Sandra is a proud mom to a Horizon High School alum. She holds a BBA in Business Computer Systems from New Mexico State University and is proud to call Scottsdale home.

Statement:

I’m in this race because I believe Arizona’s future depends on three things: strong schools, safe communities, and a strong, thriving economy with lower taxes. These aren’t just political talking points—they affect our families every single day.

My husband Coy and I met right here in Arizona 30 years ago and have been married for 28. We raised our son Logan here in Scottsdale, and he graduated from Horizon High School. Arizona is where we built our life, and it’s why I’m committed to fighting for this state and the foundational values that allow families to thrive. For more than 30 years, I’ve worked in business and public service. I’ve worked with companies like Honeywell, helped small businesses navigate challenges, and served Arizona families at the Arizona Department of Education, working with the Governor’s Office, the Attorney General, and state legislators. On the school board, I’ve earned the reputation as the “Voice of the People.” I listen to parents, taxpayers, teachers and then I act. Sometimes that has meant standing alone when it comes to fiscal responsibility, student safety, defending parental rights, and upholding our core values. I will always stand firm on conservative principles and never compromise my integrity.

My number one priority is education. Half of our state budget goes to education, yet Arizona still ranks at the bottom in too many areas. Our schools should be centers of academic excellence, where parents have a voice, teachers have support, and students are prepared for the future. I will fight to ensure education dollars reach the classroom and that parents remain in the driver’s seat.

Second, we must protect healthcare access and public safety. Arizonans deserve quality healthcare choices, and our communities must remain safe. That means supporting our police and first responders, securing our borders, and protecting critical resources like water and energy.

Third, we must strengthen our economy. I grew up working in my father’s small grocery store, so I understand what it takes to run a business. Today, businesses are telling us costs are rising and regulations are too complicated. In the Legislature, I will fight to cut taxes, reduce red tape, and support businesses of every size.

Educate. Protect. Prosper.
