Not one of these Voter Guides was paid for by somebody rich.

They were paid for by Arizonans sending what they could, and it added up to homes all over this state.

Thank you for reading the letter. Here is the short version.

If you have ever wondered whether a gift your size matters here, this is not that kind of work. This is paper, postage, and one household at a time. It is the least glamorous math in Arizona and the most reliable.

Early ballots were mailed in the first week of October. Arizona Voter Guides are already on their way because friends like you paid for them. There are more households we can still reach before November 3. After that, it will not matter how good the Voter Guide is. The ballots will already be counted.

A gift now puts the Voter Guide in front of more Arizona voters before they fill theirs out. That is the houses on your block where somebody was going to sit down with a ballot next month and guess. They are not going to guess this time.

And they will never know your name, which is my favorite part of this.

Here is what I keep picturing. A Saturday morning two springs from now. Same girl, same scraped knees, same early bus. The difference is that nobody is in court about her. The spot she earned is hers, and it stays hers. A soccer field in Gilbert. A track in Yuma. A volleyball court in Flagstaff.

You and thousands of Arizonans like you can put that there. No one could do it alone. Together it is not even close.

Join thousands of Arizona families.

Whatever you can send, please send it this week rather than next.

Grateful for you,

Peter Gentala
