I am a combat veteran, and I have served this country for twenty-one years in the United States Military. Once I retired, I felt it essential to continue to serve the state by running for office, winning, and doing the best I can do for the people of LD6 and the state of Arizona.

1. Expanding background checks to include guns purchased from private individuals. O* Walt is a fervent advocate of the 2nd Amendment. It is dangerous to tinker with the constitution.
2. Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law. O* God made a man and woman, and sexual orientation is a choice. But it's not God's choice.
3. Prohibiting abortion except when it is necessary to prevent the death of the mother. S* Followed by prayer and only if the mother is at the risk of losing her life.
4. Allowing biological males that identify as transgender to play on female sports’ teams. O* This creates an unfair advantage to biologically born females.
5. Providing state funding or referrals to abortion entities that perform or refer for abortion. O* I am against abortion. Should I be forced to pay my tax dollars to this evil practice.
6. Reforming the Arizona tax code to enact a flat income tax rate. S* It brings tax conformity to Arizona and put Arizonans in compliance with the rest of the county.
7. Allowing all parents to use tax credits, vouchers, or education savings accounts to enable their children to attend any public, charter, private, homeschool, or online academy. S* It is a parent's right and responsibility to choose the type of education for their children, not the Government.
8. Legalizing physician-assisted suicide. O* This is a family and personal matter. The state shouldn't be part of the decision process.
9. Protecting a parent's right to seek professional counseling for their minor child with same-sex attraction or gender identity issues to help them reach their desired outcome. S* The government shouldn't be involved in this process. This is a family matter not big government.
10. Requiring public schools to teach comprehensive sex education. O* No government should be allowed to tell a parent where their child will go to school.
11. Protecting individuals and businesses from being required to provide services or use their artistic expression in a manner that violates their moral or religious beliefs. S* Individuals and businesses have constitutional rights also.
12. Establishing electric retail competition to eliminate the current monopoly system for electric utilities. S* Capitalism is what made American Competition is good for economic growth.
