Congressman Ruben Gallego has represented Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District (formerly the 7th Congressional District) since 2015. He has fought tirelessly to bring jobs to the district, ensure access to healthcare and a woman’s right to choose, make higher education more accessible, pass real immigration reform, protect voting rights, fight climate change, strengthen labor rights and worker protections, and ensure better care for our veterans and military families. He successfully fought for funding and relief during COVID-19 for working families, small businesses, and all struggling Arizonans. He continues to work to hold the Trump Administration accountable and has fought to bring those responsible for the insurrection of January 6, 2021 to justice. The son of Latino immigrants, Ruben was the first in his family to attend college at Harvard University. He later joined the Marine Corps, serving in Iraq with the hardest hit unit of the war, Lima Company 3/25. As a father, husband, veteran, lawmaker and resident of Phoenix, Ruben’s goal is to make Arizona a better place to live, work, and raise a family for all communities.
