Statement:

The Sovereignty of Arizona needs to be preserved and protected. By safeguarding our constitutional rights and state laws, we’ll be able to fend off gross Federal Government overreach which threatens our family-life institutions such as education, religion, the military, and health care and the right to life. Especially of concern is our community mental health. Growing homelessness and crime indicate a severe decline in coping skills, critical thinking and self-preservation. Rise in suicide rates, deviant behavior and a decline in civility indicate need for clinicians, clergy and community resource officers. As a Legislative Representative I will be using my skills in accountability and oversight to help develop successful mental health services and systems that stabilize our community as a civilized society that can put God, family and country back into a balance that we all can live with.

2. Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law. O
3. Prohibiting abortion except when it is necessary to prevent the death of the mother. S
4. Allowing biological males that identify as transgender to play on female sports teams. O
5. Providing state funding to abortion entities that perform or refer for abortion. O
6. Allowing all parents to use tax credits, vouchers, or education savings accounts to enable their children to attend any public, charter, private, homeschool, or online academy. S
7. Legalizing physician-assisted suicide. O
8. Allowing parents to seek professional counseling for their minor child with same-sex attraction or gender identity issues. S* Parents should seek counseling for children experiencing gender dysphoria. It is the parents responsibility to protect and raise their children to adulthood. Exposing them to dangerous ideology that results in bodily mutilation or chemical therapies from misguided doctors is child abuse.
9. Protecting individuals and businesses from being required to provide services or use their artistic expression in a manner that violates their moral or religious beliefs. S
10. Keeping the flat income tax rate in Arizona’s state tax code. S
11. Requiring any government entity, including schools, to inform parents about their child’s physical, emotional, or mental health. S* In the case of normal observation it would be prudent to report anomalies to the parents. However It is not government's duty to perform reviews or examinations on children. Family health care is the responsibility of the parents.
12. Establishing electric retail competition to eliminate the current monopoly system for electric utilities. O* We currently have affordable and stable electrical service for both rural and urban areas. Though free markets can create innovation and new technologies, we only have to look to California to see how destabilizing and unregulated companies can threaten secure energy sources. Regulation first needs to be in place that will allow competition while still protecting rate payers and the grid.
