Statement:

First of all, I am not a politician! Public service is a privilege and a trust. Throughout the years, I have demonstrated a genuine care for people and have served my community in humility and unselfish service. I am currently a Governing Board Member for West MEC District 2, and have served on the Peoria Citizens Police Academy Alumni for over 5 years. It was an honor to serve as former 2nd Vice Chair for Legislative District 21, Member at Large for the Maricopa County Republican Committee and a member of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly.

The true heart of leadership is servanthood. A character quality that is authentically cultivated and essential to serve and represent the people of Arizona.

Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Interpreting the 2nd Amendment as protecting an individual’s right to keep and bear arms. S* And SHALL NOT be infringed!
2. Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law. O* Adding this criteria is in itself discriminatory
3. Amending the Arizona State Constitution to grant a fundamental right to every individual to an abortion. O* The pre-born have just as much right to live as anyone else.
4. Securing the border by preventing all illegal crossings. S* Per the U.S. Constitution, the states have the right to protect it's own borders. We need to finish building the wall, empower our law enforcement with the ability to return illegals to where they came from and jail repeat offenders. This will reduce the fentanyl crisis that addicts millions of American everyday, which in turn causes homelessness, sex trafficking and incarceration.
5. Using taxpayer funds to support any organization that performs, promotes, or provides referrals for abortion. O* I do not believe that it's the Government's job is to tax people and/or fund any organization, however worthwhile the cause may be, but especially abortion. It simply is NOT their money to give! Supporting Churches, Non-Profits or any organization is a personal choice and organically builds a sense of community.
6. Allowing all parents to use tax credits and taxpayer funded empowerment scholarship accounts to enable their children to attend any private school, homeschool, or online academy of their choice. S* Tax Payer dollars are used to pay for the education of our children. Since it's our money being spent, parents should have a choice of where they want their child educated. The average Arizona Public School's Proficiency scores are 31% Math, & 39% Reading at an average cost spent of over $11.5K per student. The cost per student's using ESA's is between $6 & 7K with better results. ESA's do NOT defund the public school system and this myth needs to be dispelled. There is a reason that parents are removing their children from the public school system and finding alternatives for their kiddos! The money should follow the child!
7. Legalizing physician-assisted suicide. O
8. Allowing parents to seek professional counseling for their minor child with same-sex attraction or gender identity issues. S* ALL Parental rights MUST be restored and supported.
9. Permitting individuals and businesses to not provide services or promote ideas that violate their moral or religious beliefs. S* This is a fundamental right
10. Keeping the flat income tax rate in Arizona’s state tax code. S* It's a proven fact that less taxes drive businesses & employment to our state, which in turn enriches our economy.
11. Requiring any government entity, including schools, to inform parents about their child’s physical, emotional, or mental health. S* ABSOLUTELY!!!
12. Enhancing penalties for the sale and possession of fentanyl. S
