As an Air Force Veteran, I will focus on the needs of the people in this district and carry my integrity and professionalism with me to the state capital. I spent 23 years serving as an aircraft mechanic ensuring the success of both combat and humanitarian missions, I also have more than a decade experience serving as a victim’s advocate for the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. Between deployments I earned a Master’s in Business Administration. I spent ten years assisting the Special Olympics Organization, as well as six years supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association children’s camps. I will work with fellow colleagues to ensure everything possible is being done by our state elected and appointed officials to invest in the future of our great state.

1. Expanding background checks to include guns purchased from private individuals. O* We need to define what is and is not a private individual, i.e. someone who sells less than 3 guns a year
2. Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law. S* A person can not help the way they were born and that should not be used against them
3. Prohibiting abortion except when it is necessary to prevent the death of the mother. S* There are many contraseptive options out there a male or female can choose to use before a pregnacy or immediantely following an assualt
4. Allowing biological males that identify as transgender to play on female sports’ teams. O* A person can not change the way they were born. Sports are seperated by gender to provide an equal and fair competition for all.
5. Providing state funding or referrals to abortion entities that perform or refer for abortion. O* An entity that provides a wide range of health care to low income people should recieve state funding but not one who only handles abortions.
6. Reforming the Arizona tax code to enact a flat income tax rate. S* I believe the state is capable, and should, reduce or even eliminate the income tax.
7. Allowing all parents to use tax credits, vouchers, or education savings accounts to enable their children to attend any public, charter, private, homeschool, or online academy. S* Parents should always have the right to choose where their children recieve thier education
8. Legalizing physician-assisted suicide. O* Physician assisted suicide is not compatible with the hippocratic oath
9. Protecting a parent's right to seek professional counseling for their minor child with same-sex attraction or gender identity issues to help them reach their desired outcome. S* To help the child come to terms with thier feelings yes, to force them to change how they were born I do not
10. Requiring public schools to teach comprehensive sex education. S* As long as it gives students the knowledge, attitudes, skills and values to make healthy choices in their lives and not about individual lifestyles.
11. Protecting individuals and businesses from being required to provide services or use their artistic expression in a manner that violates their moral or religious beliefs. S* Private businesses have the rigth to refuse service to anyone, and everyone has the right to take thier buisiness elsewhere
12. Establishing electric retail competition to eliminate the current monopoly system for electric utilities. S* A competitive market is good for the consumer as long as our infastructure remains strong
