Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Denying federal funding to “sanctuary cities” that do not comply with federal immigration laws S* A country's borders and immigration policy is the cornerstone of economic and personal security and freedoms. Our border laws must be enforced and protected.
2. Allowing all parents to use tax credits, vouchers, or education savings accounts to enable children to attend any public, charter, private, homeschool, or online academy S* One of our most basic freedoms is our ability to choose. Education and our ability to choose that education is paramount to our nations success/continuation.
3. Expanding background checks to include guns purchased from private individuals O* Private individuals rights to sell or transfer their personal property, regardless of type of property are already to heavily regulated.
4. Using taxpayer funds to support any organization that provides, promotes, or provides referrals for abortion O* Abortions are the leading cause of death in our nation. No government has any business funding the mass murder of their own citizens.
5. Prohibiting abortion except when it is necessary to prevent the death of the mother S* Our unalienable right to life is the backbone of our nations foundation. Life begins at conception and is just as valuable as any other.
6. Providing tax breaks to certain industries over others O* Governments must conduct business impartially. Providing incentives to certain industries and not others leads to politicians being bought and governments being run by special interests.
7. Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination ordinances O* Gender is already covered by nondiscrimination ordinances. As far as I'm concerned, gender is determined at birth.
8. Protecting a parent's right to seek professional counseling for their minor child with same-sex attraction or gender identity issues to help them reach their desired outcome S* I support parent's rights to seek any professional services for their minor children for any reason. We must not limit a parents obligation to parent.
9. Setting minimum wages above the state minimum wage O* Government controlled wages is socialism. Wages should be set based on what markets will bear and by the industries operating within those markets.
10. Protecting individuals and businesses from being required to use their artistic expression in a manner that violates their conscience S* Protection of individual rights and freedoms is the #1 job of government. Government must not trample individual rights under the guise of protecting someone else's.
