Previous experience. State legislature is under siege to be turned blue in 2020 election cycle. Need strong Christian voice for pro-life, pro-family values that refuses to compromise. Great schools make great children grow into wonderful parents and members of any community.

1. Expanding background checks to include guns purchased from private individuals. O* Push is continuing to take away 2nd Amendment rights one inch at a time.
2. Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age, sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law. O* Personal identity preferences should not qualify under 1964 Civil Rights Act.
3. Prohibiting abortion except when it is necessary to prevent the death of the mother. S* This one is always difficult especially if there are other children in the family.
4. Allowing biological males that identify as transgender to play on female sports’ teams. O* There is a definite physical difference in the makeup between man and woman. Changing one's identity doesn't change one's physical makeup.
5. Providing state funding or referrals to abortion entities that perform or refer for abortion. O* This is not a proper role for government under any circumstance.
6. Reforming the Arizona tax code to enact a flat income tax rate. S* A flat tax provides simplification of the tax system and equity to all wage earners.
7. Allowing all parents to use tax credits, vouchers, or education savings accounts to enable their children to attend any public, charter, private, homeschool, or online academy. S* Arizona ranks #4 in the nation for parental choice.
8. Legalizing physician-assisted suicide. O* There seems to be a growing push for this in our society. Question: Are we setting up a precedence against our Christian values? Yes
9. Protecting a parent's right to seek professional counseling for their minor child with same-sex attraction or gender identity issues to help them reach their desired outcome. S* Parental rights should never be overruled by government or questionable sources.
10. Requiring public schools to teach comprehensive sex education. O* Parent’s responsibility, not school's job to eviscerate our culture.
11. Protecting individuals and businesses from being required to provide services or use their artistic expression in a manner that violates their moral or religious beliefs. S* Our First Amendment along with all others is under attack. We must protect our Constitution and Freedoms.
12. Establishing electric retail competition to eliminate the current monopoly system for electric utilities. S* Competition is a major component of Free Enterprise system.
